Barefoot in the Park to Land at Broadway's Cort Theatre

Neil Simon's Barefoot in the Park will land at the Cort Theatre this spring. The production, starring Amanda Peet, Patrick Wilson, Jill Clayburgh and Tony Roberts, is scheduled to begin Broadway previews on January 24, 2006.

Barefoot in the Park follows the lives of newlyweds Paul and Corie Bratter Wilson and Peet as they try to adjust to life in a tiny walk-up apartment in Greenwich Village. He is a conservative lawyer who wants to keep a low profile, and she is a free spirit who is trying to spice up life. Throughout the course of the play, they pull apart and grow together.

It has also been announced that Isaac Mizrahi will do the costumes for Barefoot in the Park. The fashion designer previously worked with Barefoot director Scott Elliott on the hit Roundabout Theatre Company production of The Women.

Barefoot in the Park is scheduled to officially open on February 16.
